Exploring Connections: A Reflective Journey to Jamacho | Niraj Thapa Magar, MLRC Coordinator

As the Coordinator of the MLRC at Prime College, I had the privilege of organizing a recent hike to Jamacho. Our goal was simple: to provide our students with an opportunity to connect with nature, build stronger bonds, and step away from the academic grind.

On a crisp morning, our group, which included students like Aashika Adhikari, Annaniya Manandhar, Shrijan Shrestha, Renisha Phuyal, Sushmita Tamang, Layesh Bhatta, and Hritika Shrestha, gathered at Prime College at 7 a.m. With great enthusiasm, we set out on this journey, reaching the check post within 15 minutes. After completing a quick security check, we embarked on the trail.

The hike itself was more than just a physical exercise. It was a journey of shared experiences. As we climbed, students engaged in lively conversations, sharing stories, and offering encouragement to each other. These interactions, born from shared effort and the beauty of the surroundings, fostered a deeper sense of connection within our group.

Reaching the summit was a reward in itself. The panoramic views were breathtaking, offering a sense of awe and gratitude. In that moment, amidst the stunning scenery, we realized that hiking is not merely about reaching a destination; it’s about the journey itself. It’s about the conversations, the laughter, and the shared sense of accomplishment that emerges along the way.

This hike was more than just an outdoor activity; This hike served as a valuable reminder of the importance of stepping away from our screens and classrooms to reconnect with nature and ourselves. It was a chance to cultivate personal growth and build meaningful relationships within our community.

I hope this experience inspires everyone to embrace the journey, not just the destination, and to find joy in small steps along the way. Let’s continue creating opportunities to grow, connect, and explore the world around us.
