Leading with Heart: My Journey as President of Prime Cultural Club | Yuki Maharjan, BBA 2076 Batch

Being the President of the Prime Cultural Club at Prime College has been a journey of growth, challenges, and unforgettable memories. Leading such a vibrant and dynamic team taught me the true essence of teamwork and collaboration. Guided by our motto, We Before I, every event we organized reflected the dedication, creativity, and resilience of our united team.

From the joyous celebrations of Dashain and Deusi Vailo to the vibrant colors of Holi Fest, each event brought life to our campus. Initiatives like Smile for All: Christmas for a Cause reminded us of the beauty of giving back, while events like Maile Dekheko Samaj and Sacred Fusion sparked meaningful dialogues and celebrated creativity. We also honored the incredible individuals in our community through events like Women’s Day and Teacher’s Day. Other memorable occasions, such as Mehendi Utsav, Water Distribution, Indrajatra, and the Bhintuna Rally, added to the list of our achievements. These events were more than just celebrations—they were moments of connection, inclusivity, and purpose.

However, this journey was not without its challenges. Like any team, we faced disputes, moments of miscommunication, and the ever-present constraints of limited budgets. These hurdles tested our patience and creativity but ultimately became opportunities for us to grow stronger as a team. We learned to communicate better, solve problems together, and make the most out of what we had.

The guidance and mentorship from our seniors and teachers played a pivotal role during these tough times. Their support and wisdom inspired us to keep pushing boundaries and ensured every event left a lasting impact. Their encouragement made us believe in our vision and the power of our collective efforts.

The most fulfilling part of this journey was witnessing the transformation of ideas into impactful events that touched lives and created lasting memories. It wasn’t just about organizing events; it was about creating a sense of belonging, celebrating diversity, and making our campus a lively and inclusive space. From brainstorming ideas to tackling unexpected challenges, we laughed, learned, and grew together. These experiences not only enhanced my leadership skills but also deepened my sense of purpose and connection to the community.

To anyone stepping into leadership roles, my advice is simple: leadership is not just about reaching milestones—it’s about the journey you share with your team. The challenges you face, the memories you create, and the lessons you learn will shape you in ways that stay with you forever.

Reflecting on my time as President of the Prime Cultural Club, I feel immense pride and gratitude for the incredible journey it has been. This chapter of my life is not just a story of events and achievements—it’s a testament to the power of collaboration, resilience, and the bonds we built along the way.
