“Rang: Beyond the Canvas” was a vibrant art workshop and tutoring event that brought together creativity across multiple mediums. The event featured three engaging classes mandala, charcoal, and watercolor, offering participants an opportunity to explore diverse artistic techniques and styles. Each session was designed to build both foundational skills and creative confidence, making it accessible to learners of different levels. The final day transformed into a lively exhibition space, complemented by stalls offering food and artistic products, creating a dynamic blend of art and culture. Overall, the event celebrated creativity beyond traditional boundaries, fostering expression, learning, and community engagement.
I recently conducted a three-day basic mandala art workshop designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of this intricate and meditative art form. The workshop was attended by students from primary school, high school, and the bachelor’s level, creating a diverse and engaging learning environment. On the first day, I focused on the basics, including understanding symmetry and constructing mandala grids. The second day emphasized developing patterns and learning various filling techniques to enhance design complexity. On the final day, participants explored the use of colors to bring their mandalas to life, combining creativity with personal expression.
The workshop received highly positive feedback, with students expressing increased interest in art and appreciation for the calming and focused nature of mandala creation. This experience not only allowed me to share my passion for art but also helped me grow as a communicator and facilitator.
I attended a basic charcoal art workshop as a participant, where I gained foundational knowledge of charcoal drawing techniques. During the session, I learned essential concepts such as structure, shading, blending, and form development. The experience helped me understand how to create depth and texture using charcoal while also improving my observation and composition skills. Overall, the workshop enhanced my artistic abilities and broadened my approach to visual expression.
